Parti Bumi Kenyalang (PBK), Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR), Sarawak Independent Alliance (SIA) and Persatuan Anak Sarawak (Panas) will jointly hold an assembly in conjunction with Sarawak’s Independence Day celebration on July 22 at Sibu Gateway here from 8 to 11am.

SIBU:

Parti Bumi Kenyalang (PBK), Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR), Sarawak Independent Alliance (SIA) and Persatuan Anak Sarawak (Panas) will jointly hold an assembly in conjunction with Sarawak’s Independence Day celebration on July 22 at Sibu Gateway here from 8 to 11am.

PBK deputy secretary Franky Anong said they had obtained police permit for the assembly as well as approval from the Sibu Municipal Council.

“The assembly will be apolitical and it is just to celebrate the Independence day of the state. We are expecting about 500 people including from Kuching, Miri, Bintulu and other parts of the central region to take part in the event,” he told a press conference here yesterday.

Franky said a total of 150 cyclists would be taking part in the event which will also witness performances of Sarawak ethnics dances.

Mystery gifts will be given to the first 500 participants.
